HOTWIRE WINS PMR.AFRICA DIAMOND ARROW AWARD FOR PUBLIC RELATIONS EXCELLENCE

GABORONE – Hotwire has been awarded a PMR.africa Diamond Arrow Award 2026, ranking first overall among Public Relations Companies in the PMR.africa Botswana Country Survey. Presented in the Leaders and Achievers category, the award recognises companies and institutions doing the most in their sectors over the past 12 months to stimulate the economic growth and development of Botswana. The Diamond Arrow is PMR.africa’s highest accolade, awarded to the organisation ranked first overall in its category with a rating of Outstanding. Hotwire now stands as PMR.africa winner for well over a decade.

The award follows a strong year of recognition for the consultancy. In August 2026, Hotwire was named Best Strategic Communications Consultancy 2026 – Botswana and received the Reputation Advisory Excellence Award 2026 – Botswana at the MEA Markets African Excellence Awards, as well as Best Communications & Advisory Firm 2026 – Botswana in Corporate Vision Magazine’s Corporate Excellence Awards. Where those accolades recognised Hotwire on an international stage, the Diamond Arrow is decided at home, by the business and government leaders who experience the work of Botswana’s companies first-hand.

Taazima Kala, General Manager & Chief Consultant of Hotwire, said: “International awards tell us we are competing well beyond our borders, and we are proud of that. But this one is different. The Diamond Arrow comes from the people who know Botswana’s business community best, the leaders who work with us, alongside us and sometimes across the table from us. To be rated first overall by them is deeply humbling.”

For 21 years, Hotwire has believed that good communication is not a nice-to-have. It is how organisations earn trust, build relationships and contribute to the country they operate in. To be recognised in a category about stimulating the economic growth and development of Botswana is incredibly significant. Established in 2005, Hotwire works across sectors and markets, with experience spanning financial services, tourism, energy, mining and resources, consumer, development and social impact. The consultancy brings together strategic communications, reputation advisory, stakeholder engagement and creative communications, with an increasing focus on helping organisations make sense of complexity, strengthen relationships and build reputational value.

This award belongs to the people of Hotwire and the friends of Hotwire,” continued Taazima. “Our team, who show up with brave, intelligent work every day, and our clients and partners, who trust us with their reputations and relationships. Botswana will always be home, and there is no better place to be recognised than at home. Thank you to everyone who continues to be part of Hotwire’s journey.”
